Established during the Edo period, Oujigama made pottery with traditional wood fire kilns. They hand build pieces such as tablewares, flower vases and folkcraft goods. Since 1969 they have switched to “heavy oil kiln” which utilizes heavy oil as fuel but still maintaining the techniques of the past.
