HIGH TIMES BROWNIES
The munchies just got a whole lot better. Uplevel the edible by lacing them with The Daily Hit. We take our brownies vegan, gluten and nut free, with a dose of CBD and adaptogens.
SHOP FOR INGREDIENTS
2 TABLESPOONS GROUND FLAX SEEDS
4 TABLESPOONS FILTERED WATER
1/3 CUP COCONUT OIL
1/3 CUP COCONUT SUGAR
2 TABLESPOONS MAPLE SYRUP OR COCONUT NECTAR
1 TEASPOON VANILLA EXTRACT
1/2 CUP FULL FAT COCONUT YOGURT
1 TEASPOON THE DAILY HIT
3/4 CUP COCONUT FLOUR
1/4 CUP QUINOA OR BROWN RICE FLOUR
1/2 CUP UNSWEETENED COCOA POWDER
1/4 TEASPOON HIMALAYAN PINK SALT
1/2 CUP CACAO NIBS
Preheat oven to 350F.
Grease a small baking tray with coconut oil.
In a small bowl, mix the ground flax with water. Allow the mixture to sit for 10 minutes for the flax to absorb the water. Reserve.
In a small saucepan, gently warm up the coconut oil with the coconut sugar and maple syrup. Stir. When the sugar starts to dissolve, switch off the heat and let stand for 5 minutes to cool.
While this is cooling, toss the coconut flour, quinoa flour and pink salt in a large mixing bowl and whisk to combine. Set aside and return to the saucepan, you can now add in the vanilla extract, coconut yogurt and CBD oil. Stir well to mix. Then add in the flax mixture from earlier.
Now you’re ready to add all the wet ingredients to your mixing bowl of flour and salt. Using a spatula, gently fold in. Once batter is well combined, add this to your baking tray. Top with cacao nibs and bake for 15-20 minutes. Or until the top begins to harden slightly. Let sit for a few minutes and enjoy!
