We’re proud to collaborate with the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, which continues to advance the artist’s legacy of innovation, irrepressible creativity, and lifelong activism.

The brightly hued crystal shades in each pair of these sunglasses emulate a palette found in one of three paintings from the artist’s ROCI (Rauschenberg Overseas Culture Interchange) project. The name of this limited-edition frame? ROCI, of course.

Starting at $95

 ABOUT THE ARTIST AND ROCI

Robert Rauschenberg was one of the most influential American artists of the 20th century—a prolific and original genius across many mediums.

He believed that art can act as a catalyst for positive social change. From 1985 to 1990, Rauschenberg traveled to ten countries—in many of which freedom of expression was suppressed—with the goal of sparking dialogue and forging mutual understanding through the creative process. The ROCI (Rauschenberg Overseas Culture Interchange) project culminated in a 1991 exhibition at the National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C.

ART FOR GOOD

Like Robert Rauschenberg, we believe that creative problem solving drives social change and improves the livelihood of individuals and communities. We’re dedicated to supporting artists who are compelled by these principles wherever we can.

In that spirit, we have made a donation to the Foundation’s Artist as Activist grant program, which provides fellowships, travel and research stipends, and general operational support to artists and organizations of all disciplines who address global challenges through their practice.
